Job summary

Seattle University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in neurobiology, starting August 2027, to support an interdisciplinary undergraduate Neuroscience major spanning multiple departments. The successful candidate will teach both introductory and advanced biology courses, develop new neuroscience offerings, and foster undergraduate research in neurobiology.

Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in neuroscience, biology, or related field required.
• Post-doctoral training and undergraduate teaching experience expected.
• Ability to develop new neuroscience courses and run undergraduate research.

Responsibilities

• Teach introductory and advanced biology courses to undergraduates.
• Develop new courses for the interdisciplinary Neuroscience major.
• Provide service to the program, department, college and university.
• Establish an active, extramurally funded undergrad-focused neurobiology research program.
