Job summary

The Biology Department at Seattle University seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in neurobiology to join us in August 2027. The candidate will help launch an interdisciplinary undergraduate Neuroscience major spanning multiple departments and colleges across the University.

The person will teach both introductory and advanced biology courses, develop new neuroscience offerings, provide broad service, and build an active undergraduate research program in neurobiology with various subfields

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Biology, or a related field.
• Post-doctoral training is required.
• Undergraduate teaching experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Teach introductory and advanced courses within the undergraduate biology curriculum.
• Develop new courses for the Neuroscience program.
• Provide service to the program, department, college and university.
• Establish an active, extramurally funded undergraduate neuroscience research program.
