Job summary

UC Irvine’s Department of Neurobiology and Behavior invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the School of Biological Sciences. Ideal candidates will study the biological bases of behavior using modern neuroscience approaches and address addiction and related disorders.

Candidates should hold a Ph.D., M.D.-Ph.D., or equivalent and demonstrate a productive research program with plans for future growth.

Qualifications

• Ph.D., M.D.-Ph.D., or equivalent degree required.
• Evidence of a rigorous research program with prior productivity and future plans.
• Commitment to teaching at graduate and undergraduate levels and service/leadership.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to teaching at both graduate and undergraduate levels.
• Develop and lead an independent, productive research program.
• Engage in service and leadership within UCI and broader communities.
