Job summary

George Mason University in Fairfax, VA seeks a Tenure-Line Assistant Professor of Management Information Systems (MIS) to begin Fall 2027. This is a full-time, on-site position in the ISOM area of the Costello College of Business.

Qualifications

• Earned Ph.D. in MIS or related field or ABD with degree completion before Fall 2027.
• Evidence of effective teaching or potential to teach undergraduate and graduate students.
• Strong research trajectory with potential for top-tier journal publications.
• Willingness to contribute to service and collaborate with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-quality MIS research and teach MIS courses in undergrad and grad programs.
• Manage teaching load per workload policy, typically 3 courses/year for eligible candidates.
• Provide service to ISOM area, College, university, and the profession.
