Job summary

City Colleges of Chicago (CCC), Wilbur Wright College, seeks a tenure-track Mechatronics instructor to educate students in manufacturing technology and related disciplines starting Spring 2026. The role combines theory with hands-on lab work to prepare students for technician careers in industry.

The ideal candidate will design courses, develop syllabi, and apply inclusive teaching practices while advancing CCC’s mission of accessible, high-quality education and equity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering or related field with two industry credentials.
• Eight years of manufacturing experience with two credentials if no degree.
• Two to three years of college teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs courses and prepares syllabi with clear learning objectives.
• Teaches on-campus and online classes in alignment with college policies.
• Creates effective learning environment and incorporates new technologies.
• Provides feedback and assesses student performance using established criteria.
• Engages in professional development and participates in departmental activities.
