Job summary

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or related field by start date.
• At least 2 years of graduate-level research or industry experience in fluid mechanics or heat transfer.
• Ability to teach in a combined lecture and lab environment.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Experience collaborating with others.
• Three years of industry experience or undergraduate teaching experience, or a combination of the two, in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated commitment to advance innovative/evidence-based student learning.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses related to Thermodynamics, Heat transfer, and Fluid mechanics.
• Establish and maintain laboratories and equipment.
• Develop and maintain contacts and liaison with industry and professional associations.
• Provide student academic advisement and contribute to program assessment, accreditation, and continuous improvement processes, in collaboration with faculty and staff.
• Develop curriculum.
• Actively engage in research.
• Participate in departmental and university service activities.
