University of Wisconsin-Stout Polytechnic seeks a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering to prepare career-ready engineers and technologists through hands-on classroom, laboratory, and industry-connected experiences. The successful candidate will teach in at least two areas and start August 23, 2027.

The role emphasizes experiential learning, collaboration with industry, and ongoing program assessment in a polytechnic environment.

Formación

• M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field by employment start date.
• Ability to teach in a combined lecture and lab environment.
• Fluency in oral and written English communication.
• Interest in advancing student learning in the field of engineering.

Responsabilidades

• Teach courses related to two or more topics (engineering mechanics, manufacturing processes, numerical methods, senior design/capstone).
• Establish and maintain laboratories and equipment.
• Develop and maintain contacts and liaison with industry and professional associations.
• Provide student academic advisement and conduct assessment of student learning.
• Contribute to academic program assessment and aid in maintaining program accreditation and continuous improvement in collaboration with faculty and staff.
• Develop curriculum.
• Participate in departmental and university service activities.
