Southwestern Illinois College in Belleville, Illinois, seeks a Mathematics Faculty member for a tenure-track, nine-month teaching position starting August 2, 2027. The successful candidate will teach arithmetic through university transfer in the Mathematics & Computer Sciences department.

The role includes developing and maintaining courses, assessing student performance, and collaborating with colleagues to enhance instruction.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in mathematics with at least 18 graduate hours.
• Two years teaching experience preferred.
• Community college teaching experience preferred.
• Willingness to develop courses using alternative delivery methods.
• Experience in outcomes assessment preferred.
• Experience working with diverse student populations preferred.
• Meet minimum standards of instruction as per Board of Trustees.

Responsibilities

• Develop, teach, and maintain courses from arithmetic through university transfer.
• Assess student performance and provide feedback.
• Collaborate with department to evaluate instructional effectiveness.
• Participate in professional development and college committees.
