Franklin & Marshall College invites applications for a tenure-track position in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics beginning August 2027. Appointment is for nine months per year (mid-August to mid-May).

Qualifications

• PhD or near completion in mathematics or closely related field.
• Ability to teach a broad selection of undergraduate mathematics courses including calculus, linear algebra, introduction to proof, real analysis, and advanced topics.
• Develop new electives and guide curriculum development; mentor undergrad research; contribute to Connections GENED program.
• Excellence in teaching and evidence of scholarly achievement are essential.

Responsibilities

• Teach five courses per year and maintain an active research program.
• Contribute to the College’s shared governance and service activities.
• Mentor students in undergraduate research and support diverse student success.
