Job summary

The University of Washington Tacoma invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Mathematics (Operations Research) in the Sciences and Mathematics Department. The base salary range is $8,889 to $9,556 per month ($80,000 to $86,000 per year), commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in Mathematics from an accredited institution by the start of the appointment.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching in the candidate's area of expertise.
• Demonstrated record of research and scholarly activity.
• Demonstrated record of institutional or community service.

Responsibilities

• Teach general undergraduate mathematics courses and precalculus through multivariable calculus.
• Mentor undergraduates and advise mathematics majors on capstone projects.
• Teach via in-person, online, and hybrid modalities.
• Engage in undergraduate research experiences and service activities.
