Job summary

Friends University invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track faculty position in the Division of Business, with a primary emphasis in marketing and teaching responsibilities in general business. The appointment will begin in January 2027, normally at the rank of Assistant Professor of Business.

A higher rank may be considered based on credentials. The successful candidate will teach four courses per semester, advise students, participate in committees, and engage in ongoing

Qualifications

• A doctorate or terminal degree in the discipline is strongly preferred.
• Candidates progressing toward a doctorate or with a professional master's degree and relevant credentials may be considered.
• Demonstrated knowledge of marketing concepts and the ability to teach marketing courses.
• Ability to teach additional general business courses as needed.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills and a commitment to student advising and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Teach a standard load of four courses per semester, primarily in marketing and general business.
• Advise and mentor students and support enrollment and retention.
• Engage in scholarship, service, and professional engagement; participate in committees.
• Contribute to curriculum review, assessment, and program improvement.
