Job summary

University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is seeking an Assistant Professor of Interior Architecture on a tenure-track basis to teach undergraduate IA studios and foundation courses, and to contribute to scholarship and service within the School of Design and Communication. Required qualifications include a terminal degree, NCIDQ certification, and strong communication skills.

Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, MS Office, and Adobe Creative Suite is expected.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a design-related discipline with a minimum of one studio-based degree.
• NCIDQ certification required at time of hire or to be achieved within a reasonable timeframe.
• Strong visual, written, and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with industry standard design software: Revit, AutoCAD/AutoCAD Architecture, SketchUp, MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate interior architecture studios and design foundation studios.
• Teach one or more supporting lecture courses (e.g., lighting, cultural influences in design, design theory, environmental behavior, design history).
• Develop and maintain scholarship and contribute to service within the unit, school, college, and university.
