Qualifications

• PhD by time of appointment and commitment to inclusive undergraduate education are essential.
• Postdoctoral experience, publications, and teaching/pedagogical training preferred.
• Teaching responsibilities include BIO 230 (Genetics, Genomics, and Evolution) and advanced offerings in the candidate’s area of expertise.
• Applicants from groups underrepresented in the Biological Sciences are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative courses and an independent research program in Genetics, Evolution, and Molecular Biology.
• Engage undergraduates in research combining molecular biology with experimental, field, and/or computational approaches.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the department and related programs to enhance student learning and research opportunities.
