Job summary

Texas A&M University‑Corpus Christi invites applications for a 9‑month tenure track, Assistant Professor of Finance, starting Fall 2027. The candidate will teach primarily undergraduate and/or graduate courses that support the financial planning curriculum and prepare students for the CFP® certification examination.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Financial Planning or Finance from an AACSB‑accredited institution.
• Must have earned the CFP designation or completed all educational requirements necessary to sit for the CFP® exam, which must be passed within 2 years of employment.
• Advanced ABD candidates will be considered; the degree must be conferred at the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses supporting the financial planning curriculum.
• Prepare students for the CFP® certification examination.
• Teach in multiple modalities: face‑to‑face, hybrid, online, hyflex, and other formats.
• Maintain an active research agenda and contribute to the department and college.
• Advise and mentor students; participate in curriculum development and service.
