A Ph.D. degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related field is required by the time of contract.

The ECE department offers B.S. and M.S. degrees in both Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering, and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering, with approximately 800 undergraduate and 140 graduate students; see http://ece.charlotte.edu.

The ECE Department currently comprises 39 full-time faculty members who are actively engaged in research and teaching in the broad areas of computer systems, communications, controls, signal/image processing, electronics devices, microelectronics, and power and energy systems.
