Artificial intelligence is a growth area for the campus and for thedepartment. The Department of Computer Science offers a Bachelor ofScience in Artificial Intelligence, and these two positions arepart of a broader cluster of AI hiring. The department has recentlymade strategic investments in two AI Centers. Computing has beenexpanded alongside that: a Research Computing reinvestment hasadded NVIDIA H200 capacity, supported in part by the college andthe department, with a share of it dedicated to teaching. AIresearch at CU Boulder extends beyond computer science intopartners across the College of Engineering and Applied Science,cognitive science, information science, and collaborations with thefederal laboratories along the Colorado Front Range. The Boulderarea also supports a growing concentration of companies working inartificial intelligence and robotics.
