Job summary

Hamilton College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Biology in Evolutionary Ecology, starting July 1, 2027. The successful candidate will teach five course credits per year, supervise senior thesis research, and contribute to the Environmental Studies program.

A strong undergraduate research program and access to the Taylor Science Center facilities are expected. ABD candidates welcome; PhD preferred.

• PhD preferred; ABD considered for tenure-track appointment.
• Commitment to excellence in teaching and undergraduate research.
• Evidence of ability to work with diverse student populations.

Responsibilities

• Teach five course credits per year including evolutionary biology with lab.
• Supervise senior thesis projects and advise undergraduates.
• Contribute to Environmental Studies program through teaching and research.
• Develop an active, externally funded research program with undergraduates.
