The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Evolutionary Biology in the School of Life Sciences. The successful candidate will establish an integrative research program and collaborate across multiple disciplines, including microbiome and plant–pest coevolution studies, with a Fall 2027 starting date.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a biological science related degree from an accredited college or university.
• Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.
• Proven record of research accomplishment.

Responsibilities

• Establish an integrative research program investigating adaptation using experimental, genomic, and/or computational approaches.
• Mentor and advise graduate students and teach at undergraduate and graduate levels ( Evolutionary biology, epigenetics, molecular ecology, or mechanisms of adaptation ).
• Collaborate with existing faculty across multiple areas of expertise and engage in service activities and extramural funding efforts.
