Job summary

The Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia invites applications for a full-time Academic General Faculty (non-tenure track) professor to teach in its MBA degree programs, affiliated with the Accounting Area. Start in Fall 2027; review begins Oct 1, 2026.

The position supports teaching, service, and potential research, with a budget and summer salary opportunities. Positions include face-to-face and blended formats across Charlottesville and Rosslyn (DC area).

Qualifications

• Master's degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution; doctorate preferred.
• Ability to teach core managerial and financial accounting and MBA electives.
• Interest in and ability to teach experienced executives across sectors.
• Passion for student-centered, case-based teaching and experiential learning.
• Strong interest or experience in curriculum and course development.

Responsibilities

• Teach core managerial and financial accounting courses and MBA electives.
• Contribute to service to the school and community.
• Write case materials and possibly conduct research.
• Manage and participate in curriculum development for courses taught.
