San José State University’s Department of Electrical Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning August 2027. We seek candidates with expertise in ASICs, SoC, AI/ML, RF hardware, and embedded systems.

The successful candidate will teach both undergraduate and graduate courses and establish an active, externally funded research program. Our department supports multidisciplinary research addressing real-world problems and offers state-of-the-art

Formación

• PhD in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Computer Engineering by start date.
• Research background in Embedded Systems, ASIC, and SOC design.
• Strong commitment to teaching excellence at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Awareness of and sensitivity to a diverse student population through inclusive teaching.

Responsabilidades

• Teach/advise undergrad and grad students; develop curriculum in Embedded Systems, SoC, ASIC with ML.
• Participate in shared governance via departmental committees and assessment.
• Organize all classes within the Canvas LMS.
• Demonstrate awareness of diverse student needs through inclusive course materials and advisement.
