Job summary

Coker University invites applications for an Assistant Professor (tenure track) or Clinical Professor of Cybersecurity and Digital Technologies in the School of Business starting August 2027. This is a full-time, 9-month faculty position with competitive salary reporting to the Dean.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses and support majors in cybersecurity and related fields. The role includes advising students, developing innovative courses, and participating in program

Qualifications

Ph.D. in computing, computer science, cybersecurity, business/data analytics, information systems, information technology, game development, or related field preferred.
ABD candidates with a Master's degree will be considered.
Completion of at least 18 graduate credit hours in mathematics preferred.
Preferred certifications: CISSP, CompTIA Security+/CySA+, CCNA, Microsoft Security, AWS Security, or equivalent.
Experience teaching face-to-face, online, and hybrid courses is preferred.

Responsibilities

Teach 4 courses (12 credit hours) per semester (8 courses per year).
Support Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, IT, and Game Development majors through teaching.
Advise students as assigned by the Dean, School of Business.
Contribute to assessment reports and institutional service obligations.
Engage industry representatives for internships and program activities.
Manage LMS Brightspace spaces for each class.
