Job summary

Lake Forest College's Department of Mathematics and Computer Science invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in Computer Science beginning Fall 2027. The candidate will teach three courses per semester and contribute to our CS, Data Science, and Mathematics majors.

The college supports research with a paid semester-long leave in the 4th or 5th year after a successful review, and values teaching a diverse student body while mentoring undergraduates in research.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field by Aug 2027.
• Ability to teach a wide range of undergraduate CS courses.
• Willingness to teach in the College's first-year studies program.
• Ability to advise CS students and supervise undergraduate research.
• Maintain an active scholarly research program.
