Job summary

Seton Hall University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Computer Science, starting August 2027. The department seeks candidates with research in cloud/edge computing, CPS, and AI systems, who will teach undergrad courses and possibly cybersecurity/data science graduate courses and supervise student research.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in CS or related field by start date and demonstrate excellence in teaching, research, and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computer Science or closely related field completed by start date.
• Strong commitment to teaching, scholarly research, and student mentorship.
• Teaching experience and scholarly publications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach CS courses at undergraduate levels and (depending on expertise) graduate courses in Cybersecurity and/or Data Science, including service courses.
• Supervise student research and maintain a computer engineering laboratory.
• Support Seton Hall University's Catholic mission and engage in department service.
