The University of New Mexico School of Law invites applications for a Tenured or Tenure-track faculty position beginning Fall 2027 to teach substantive criminal law, criminal procedure, and related courses. The successful candidate will contribute to curriculum and engage in scholarship.

Formación

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school or an equivalent foreign legal degree.
• Excellence or the promise of excellence in teaching doctrinal or procedural criminal law courses, or both.
• Excellence or the promise of excellence in academic scholarship in substantive or procedural criminal law, or both.
• Practice experience of at least two years in criminal defense, prosecution, or criminal appellate matters.

Responsabilidades

• Teach a range of substantive and procedural criminal law courses, including Criminal Law I and upper-level criminal law electives.
• Contribute to the broader School of Law curriculum depending on interest, expertise, and curricular need.
• Engage in scholarship and service within the law school.
