Job summary

Boise State University’s Department of Construction Management is hiring two full-time, 9-month tenure-track professors at Assistant and Assistant/Associate ranks to begin Spring 2027 or Fall 2027.

The successful candidates will bring industry expertise and innovative scholarship to a growing program, including the new ESI CM Building, and will teach undergraduate courses while pursuing a productive research agenda.

Qualifications

• PhD in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field required; ABD candidates will be considered if the degree is conferred before the start date.
• One (1) year of U.S.-based industry experience related to construction.
• Demonstrated ability to teach construction management courses.
• Evidence of scholarly achievement in construction management or a closely related discipline, commensurate with rank.
• Evidence of, or potential for, developing and sustaining a successful research program, including pursuit of external funding.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in construction management and related areas.
• Develop a productive research program with grant writing and external funding.
• Publish in peer-reviewed journals and present at academic conferences.
• Engage undergraduate students in research and collaborate with graduate students for mentoring.
• Participate in departmental governance and service activities.
