Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of related industry work experience in civil construction management.
• Advanced knowledge of civil construction materials, structures, costing, estimating, scheduling and project management.
• Experience with GPS, total stations, and drones for instruction.
• Ability to collaborate with college staff and community partners with cultural competence.
• Commitment to Joliet Junior College core values of respect, inclusion, sustainability, integrity, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Teach at least minimum course load each semester including early morning, day, and evening classes.
• Collaborate with instructors and programs to determine placements and curriculum.
• Participate in course development, assessment, accreditation, and planning.
• Be willing to teach online and/or blended courses.
• Participate in departmental meetings and recruitment activities; serve on committees.
• Assist students with academic advising.
• Assist with program responsibilities.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and learning.
• Demonstrate commitment to the college's mission.
• Teach at other campus sites as needed.
• Meet other contractual obligations per faculty contract.
