Louisiana State University (LSU) seeks a tenure-track assistant or associate professor of meteorology in the Department of Oceanography and Coastal Sciences (DOCS). Preference for coastal-context research such as tropical cyclone dynamics, mesoscale storms, AI applications, and air quality.

The candidate should demonstrate potential to establish funded research and teach courses in LSU's coastal meteorology program.

Qualifications

• PhD by start of appointment.
• Potential for external funding.
• Interdisciplinary collaboration experience beneficial.
• Experience teaching undergraduate/graduate courses in meteorology/coastal science.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in meteorology.
