Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Music Education – Director of Choral Activities to begin August 16, 2027.

Candidates should hold a terminal degree in Music or Music Education (Ph.D., Ed.D., or DMA) or a closely related field and demonstrate strong potential for teaching excellence. ABD with a plan for completion will also be considered.

• Terminal degree in Music – Choral specialization, or a closely related field; ABD with plan for completion will be considered.

• Prepares content, syllabi, and Moodle/curricular site for each course and lab; assigns grades per Faculty Manual and catalog.
• Conducts research to contribute to knowledge in the field and mentors students in related methods.
• Posts regular office hours and engages in university service, committees, and scholarly activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
