Job summary

The College of Southern Nevada invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position teaching Chemistry and Natural Resource Science. The department seeks a dynamic instructor who can deliver engaging lectures and hands-on labs across multiple courses, including instrumentation and capstone experiences.

Ideal candidates will have a Master’s in Chemistry, at least two years of college teaching, and a commitment to student mentorship, equity, and active learning.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Chemistry from a regionally accredited college.
• Two years of college-level teaching experience.
• Experience with instrumentation and laboratory courses (preferred).
• Interest in mentoring undergraduate research.
• Commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and inclusive teaching.

Responsibilities

• Teach chemistry and natural resource science lectures and labs.
• Maintain records, submit grades, and communicate via college systems.
• Develop syllabi and course materials; assess student mastery.
• Participate in department meetings and college committees.
• Deliver day/evening/weekend classes as needed.
