The Department of Theology at the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana, invites applications for an assistant professorship, tenure-track, in Catholic systematic theology.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Theology or a closely related field by Aug 1, 2027.
• Evidence of field-leading contribution or potential and ability to engage the department's intellectual mission.
• Entry-level candidates must have completed all Ph.D. requirements or have completed all but dissertation with defense by Aug 1, 2027.
• Advanced-level candidates must have a Ph.D. in Theology or a closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-quality research and publish work.
• Teach and mentor doctoral and undergraduate students; advise dissertations.
• Participate in department and university service and governance.
• Contribute to Notre Dame's Catholic identity and mission in scholarship.
