The Division of Biological and Biomedical Systems (BBS) in the School of Science and Engineering at the University of Missouri-Kansas City invites applications for a full-time tenure-track/tenure-eligible faculty position in Biomedical Engineering at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. • Demonstrate excellence in research with an independent or PI-funded program.
• Strong commitment to teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students.

• Contribute to SSE and UMKC goals and strategic plan.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellence in research, including initiating or continuing an independent extramurally funded research program or serving as a principal investigator in larger collaborative team.
• Have a strong commitment to teaching in the classroom and mentoring students in the laboratory (undergraduate and graduate students).
• Engage in divisional, school, or university services appropriate to the position, and
• Advance the goals and strategic plan of SSE and UMKC.
