The City University of New York invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in General Biology and/or Microbiology in the Department of Biological Sciences and Geology at Queensborough Community College. The successful candidate will teach Microbiology and General Biology, mentor undergraduates, and contribute to scholarly activities.

• Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Microbiology, Molecular Biology or related field.
• Candidates must have the required degree conferred by the time they submit their application.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in General Biology and Microbiology with emphasis on organismal biology, evolution and biodiversity.
• Mentor and advise undergraduates; supervise undergraduate research students.
• Engage in scholarly research and publish; participate in department and college committees.
• Contribute to diversity and inclusive excellence in teaching and service.
