Job summary

The University of Washington Department of Bioengineering invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions starting September 2027. These are 100% FTE, nine-month appointments with a renewable term and a base salary range that is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Successful candidates will build internationally recognized research programs, teach and mentor across undergraduate and graduate levels, and collaborate across engineering, medicine, and the sciences

Qualifications

• PhD in Bioengineering or a related discipline is required or equivalent.
• An MD or foreign equivalent degree is also acceptable.
• Commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to a diverse and inclusive academic community.

Responsibilities

• Develop an internationally recognized, extramurally funded research program.
• Provide innovative, high-quality teaching and mentorship at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Contribute to the department, college, school of medicine, and university missions and programs.
