California State University, Northridge invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Automotive Engineering in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The successful candidate will teach undergrad and grad courses, develop an active research program in vehicle dynamics, controls, propulsion, or related areas, and contribute to curriculum and student mentorship.

Candidates should have a Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or closely related field; doctorate must be completed by the date of appointment.
• Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated experience teaching undergraduate and/or graduate automotive engineering courses.
• Evidence of research in automotive engineering, vehicle dynamics and control, machine design, manufacturing, or related fields.
• Publications in peer-reviewed journals and/or conference proceedings within the past three years.

Responsabilités

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in automotive engineering.
• Supervise MS theses and provide academic and professional advisement to students.
• Develop and lead an active research program with external funding.
• Engage in curriculum development, assessment, and department/service activities.
• Participate in professional and student organizations and contribute to equity and inclusion in the classroom.
