PhD required; ABD considered if completed by Fall2027. We seek scholars with strong social science research backgrounds in Black feminism, decolonial/postcolonial studies, environmental justice, or related fields, and a commitment to inclusive excellence and Jesuit educational traditions.

Qualifications

• PhD in Women's and Gender Studies, Ethnic Studies, or other cognate interdisciplinary fields; ABD applicants who complete the doctorate by Fall2027 will be considered.
• PhD is required; strong record in social science research is desirable.
• Ability to teach courses in introductory Women's and Gender Studies, feminist and queer research methods, and upper-division specialty courses.

Responsibilities

• Teach introductory WGS courses and a course in feminist and queer research methods.
• Teach an upper-division course in the applicant's area of expertise.
• Maintain an active program of scholarship and contribute to service, advising, and mentoring undergraduates.
