Western Connecticut State University in Danbury invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Education. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate education courses and engage in scholarly activity, service, and collaboration on program evaluation and accreditation.

We seek candidates with a Ph.D./Ed.D. in education and teaching certification in Elementary education; additional certifications and higher education experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Ed.D. in education or closely related field.
• Elementary education teaching certification required.
• Preferred: secondary ed, special ed, TESOL or bilingual certifications.
• Experience in higher education teaching is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the education program(s).
• Engage in service and scholarly activity including research and grant writing.
• Support Aspiring Educators and collaborate on program evaluation.
• Assist CAEP accreditation activities and field placement/student teaching.
• Serve on department, university and program committees; on-campus office hours.
