Job summary

Utah Valley University’s Department of Architecture & Engineering Design invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Architecture beginning January 1, 2027. The department emphasizes teaching, student mentoring, and community engagement in a studio-centered environment.

The successful candidate will teach design studios, theory, and related courses, pursue scholarly activities, and participate in accreditation efforts and service to UVU and the profession.

Qualifications

• NAAB-accredited professional degree in architecture (M.Arch preferred).
• Three+ years of professional practice in architecture.
• Experience with classical or traditional architecture desirable.
• Experience teaching in higher education is a plus.
• License or AXP progress toward licensure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teach a range of architectural design studio and theory courses.
• Develop curriculum, mentor students, and engage in scholarly activities.
• Contribute to accreditation processes and department service.
• Collaborate with colleagues, industry partners, and community stakeholders.
