Job summary

Utah Valley University’s Department of Architecture & Engineering Design invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Architecture to begin January 1, 2027. The candidate will develop and teach a wide range of architectural design studio and related courses, contribute to scholarly activities, and provide service at department, college, and university levels.

UVU emphasizes teaching and offers a studio-centered learning environment.

Qualifications

• NAAB or other accredited professional degree in architecture (M.Arch).
• Professional practice experience in architecture office (preferred).
• Certificate in Classical Architecture or equivalent focus on classical design (preferred).
• Experience with NAAB accreditation processes (preferred).
• Teaching experience in higher education (preferred).
• License in Architecture or ARE progress (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Instructs, manages, and supervises individuals and groups in classrooms, online, and laboratories, through demonstration, discussion, visual aids, instructional methods.
• Plans, prepares, and follows an approved course of study with measurable objectives.
• Engages in scholarly activities including applied research and scholarly/creative work.
• Serves the department, college, and university through meetings and service appointments.
