Job summary

Lehigh University’s Department of Art, Architecture and Design invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Architecture with expertise in architectural design. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2027.

The successful candidate will teach across undergraduate and graduate levels, contribute to an active program of scholarship and design practice, and engage in departmental, college, and university service within a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• MArch, PhD, or equivalent terminal degree by date of employment.
• At least one year of teaching experience in a university setting.
• Portfolio of creative practice and scholarship, and sample syllabi are required.

Responsibilities

• Teach introductory- through advanced-level architectural design courses in regular rotation.
• Develop and maintain an active program of scholarship and creative practice with impact.
• Contribute to departmental, college, and university service and engage with diverse communities.
