Job summary

The University of North Texas (UNT) invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor in the Artificial Intelligence cluster within the College of Engineering. The position supports research across AI foundations and engineering applications, with expectations to develop and sustain an externally funded program, teach, mentor, and contribute to the UNT community.

We seek candidates with strong publication records and the ability to collaborate across departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications include a Ph.D. in a related engineering discipline.
• For an Assistant Professor position, a strong publication record and the potential to succeed in securing research funding and mentoring graduate students are required.
• For an Associate Professor position, a sustained record of providing mentoring to junior faculty, advising graduate students, providing service to the University and profession, and securing external funding for research activities are also required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain a nationally recognized externally funded research program.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses; mentor graduate students and trainees.
• Foster interdisciplinary collaborations across the college and university.
• Contribute meaningful service to the university, profession, and broader research community.
