Job summary

Howard University’s Department of Radiology invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant or associate professor position focused on advancing mathematics-enhanced AI for radiology and imaging sciences. Start date August 2026, part of the AI Cluster Hire Initiative to expand interdisciplinary AI research and instruction.

The successful candidate will lead independent and collaborative research, teach and mentor students, and contribute to curriculum development while addressing

Qualifications

PhD in a closely related field with research in biomedical imaging or AI
Demonstrated experience with imaging modalities and AI applications
Teaching or mentoring experience preferred

Responsibilities

Lead independent and collaborative research initiatives.
Apply AI and advanced imaging to biomedical challenges.
Contribute to student training and curriculum development.
Address health disparities through inclusive excellence.
