The Program of Actuarial Science & Risk Management at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor or tenured associate professor position with an anticipated starting date of August 16, 2027. The department seeks candidates who will contribute to teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels and develop an independent research program.

Successful candidates will engage with industry partnerships, contribute to curriculum

Qualifications

• Ph.D. required before start date.
• Assistant Professor: strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching and to developing a research agenda.
• Associate Professor: demonstrated record of research, teaching and service indicative of tenure eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Establish and maintain an active, independent research program.
• Provide service to the department, the university and the actuarial science profession.
