The candidate will advance scholarship in criminal justice, criminology, or juvenile justice; teach at undergraduate and graduate levels; and mentor students across programs.

Tenure eligibility on arrival is required. The role requires a robust research agenda, external funding activity, and service to the department and university.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Juvenile Justice, Sociology, or closely related field.
• Record of peer-reviewed publications and scholarly presentations.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in undergraduate and graduate teaching.
• Evidence of mentoring students in research and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an active research agenda with quality publications and presentations.
• Pursue external funding for research and collaboration.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses and develop relevant curricula.
• Mentor undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students in research and career preparation.
• Collaborate with faculty and researchers to support unit centers and initiatives.
• Contribute to curriculum development and program assessment.
