Job summary

The Department of Cell Biology at the University of Virginia School of Medicine invites applications for two tenure-eligible faculty positions on the Academic Investigator (AI) track with preference for early and mid-career investigators. Successful applicants will build and sustain cutting-edge research programs in mechanistic cell biology and/or developmental biology and participate in graduate and medical student teaching.

Qualified candidates will hold Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. required with postdoctoral training.
• Proven track record of outstanding research with potential for extramural funding.

Responsibilities

• Teach within graduate and medical programs.
• Develop and lead independent research programs in cell/developmental biology.
• Collaborate acrossDepartments and contribute to translational research.
