United Rentals is seeking a Temporary Structure Installer to set up and dismantle tent structures using powered equipment and hand tools. The role includes layout, site prep, hardware identification, and following manufacturer specs for safe transport and assembly.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, a valid license, and a willingness to learn forklifts, manlifts, and OSHA certifications within six months. Training is provided, and the position emphasizes safety and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Entry-level role with on-the-job training.
• Valid driver’s license with minimal infractions.
• Ability to obtain forklift, manlift, and OSHA certifications within 6 months.
• Familiarity with DOT and OSHA regulations is a plus.
• Basic use of hand tools (hammer, drill, ratchet, wrenches, impact driver).
• Willingness to learn power equipment such as forklifts, boom lifts, and stake drivers.
• Able to follow instructions and implement feedback.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Installation and dismantling of tent structures per guidelines.
• Identify tent components (beams, rafters, purlins, uprights, stakes, anchors, tensioning hardware, and keder systems).
• Observe and assist senior installers with the assembly and disassembly process.
• Layout and site preparation.
• Tent frame assembly sequence.
• Fabric installation and tensioning.
• Securing and anchoring methods.
• Follow manufacturer specifications for each structure type; load, secure, and unload materials for transit.
• Follow directions from warehouse and logistics teams to ensure accurate equipment counts.
• Assist in site layout using measuring tools and supervisor guidance.
