Job summary

U.S. Tsubaki Automotive, LLC in Portland, TN, is seeking a Tensioner Technician I to maintain daily operation of the tensioner machines and ensure parts meet quality and productivity targets. The role requires basic problem solving, teamwork, and the ability to read part prints.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience may be considered.
• Zero to two years related experience.
• Basic computer skills; 5S experience.
• Strong reading of part prints and quality testing tooling.

Responsibilities

• Maintain tensioner machining equipment: tooling adjustment, presetting, and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot basic machine issues.
• Maintain quality of parts and ensure they meet standards.
• Read and interpret part prints.
• Run one production line at a time.
• Work as part of a team to meet productivity targets.

The Tensioner Technician I will maintain the basic daily operation of the primary tensioner machine(s). This position will ensure the machine is making a quality part while meeting the desired productivity rate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain tensioner machining equipment example: tooling adjustment, presetting, and pm etc.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic machine issues
• Maintain quality of the parts
• Ability to check parts to meet quality standard
• Ability to read small quality testing equipment example: calipers, mics, microscope, etc.
• Ability to read a part print.
• Ability to run one line at a time

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
• Zero to two years related experience.
• Basic Computer Skills
• 5s experience
• Basic problem solving or troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work with a team.
• Ability to run up to 4 lines.
• Position require excellent planning and organizational skills, extreme attention to details and significant computer skills.
• Position requires weekends as needed with 24-hour notice.
