Qualifications

• Ability to work weekends and evenings.
• Strong leadership and customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct tennis lessons for all ages and skill levels (private, clinics, camps, hitting sessions).
• Manage junior tennis program activities with the Director.
• Assist in organizing social tennis and pickleball events for members.
• Ensure exemplary customer service for members and guests.
• Maintain tennis courts in a safe and professional manner.
• Occasionally handle repairs and restringing equipment.
• Promote USTA events and obtain certification as a USTA Official.
• Develop understanding of pickleball rules and gameplay.

Tennis Professional Country Club in San Angelo, Texas is looking for a Tennis Professional.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Professional who is passionate about tennis and dedicated to enhancing both our programs and business operations. The ideal candidate should be professional, enthusiastic, punctual, and skilled in working with individuals of all ages and abilities. This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to deliver exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and conduct tennis lessons for all ages and skill levels. This includes private lessons, clinics, camps, and hitting sessions with higher-level junior players. Occasional adult clinics may also be required.
• Junior Program Management: Works with the Director in organizing and overseeing activities for the junior tennis program.
• Assist in organizing social tennis and pickleball events for club members.
• Ensure exemplary customer service for members and guests, fostering strong relationships.
• Maintain tennis courts in a safe and professional manner.
• Occasionally handle repairs and restring tennis equipment.
• Promote USTA events and obtain certification as a USTA Official.
• Develop an understanding of pickleball rules and gameplay.

Qualifications:

• Aspirations to obtain a RSPA or PTR certification
• Equivalent of 3 years’ teaching experience in lieu of certification, or college tennis experience will be acceptable.
• UTR 10+
• Self-motivated, energetic, and passionate about tennis, particularly in developing junior players.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
