Job summary

Midcoast Recreation Center seeks an energetic Tennis Pro to lead tennis programs for all ages and abilities, teaching fundamentals and promoting safe, inclusive play. You will plan group and private lessons, adapt to skill levels, and foster a fun, healthy environment that encourages active living.

As part of a community-focused nonprofit, you will monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, assist with leagues and tournaments, and support the Tennis Director in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching tennis to diverse ages and abilities.
• Ability to promote safety and sportsmanship on and off court.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and instruct group and private tennis lessons for all ages.
• Provide instruction on techniques, rules, and etiquette while promoting sportsmanship.
• Adapt lessons to accommodate different skill levels, ages, and abilities.
• Assist in organizing recreational leagues, community tournaments, and pickleball events.
• Monitor participant progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming environment by ensuring equipment and courts are clean, organized, and in good condition.
• Promote recreation center programs and encourage continued participation.
• Serve as a community ambassador for health, fitness, and social connection through sport.
• Assist the Tennis Director as needed.
