Job summary

City of Plymouth is seeking a part‑time tennis instructor for September. You will teach tennis to participants age 4 and older, with sessions on Monday/Wednesday afternoons and evenings, and on Tuesday/Thursday evenings as well as Sunday afternoons and evenings.

Focus is on planning engaging lessons, supporting participants and staff, and delivering a safe, fun, and inclusive experience for all ages. Candidates should be capable of running lessons with little oversight.

Qualifications

  • Teaching or playing experience in tennis required.
  • Tennis knowledge and ability to teach the game confidently.
  • Organized and assertive enough to run lessons independently.
  • Must be at least 16 years old.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and direct activities for participants of all ages in a recreation setting.
  • Provide support to participants and staff to foster inclusivity.
  • Collaborate with a team to ensure quality programs.
  • Follow staff policies and procedures.
  • Ensure safety and a fun, appropriate experience for all participants.

  • Should be organized and assertive to run lessons on their own.
  • Minimum age 16 years old.
