Job summary

The City of College Station is seeking an energetic tennis instructor to teach all levels outdoors. You will plan and deliver basic to advanced lessons following program guidelines and assist with paperwork, attendance, and certificates.

You will enforce rules, stay safety-conscious, and participate in required trainings while interacting with children in a positive, engaging manner.

Qualifications

• Experience in teaching tennis lessons.
• Enthusiastic, motivating, punctual, dependable and mature enough to lead a class.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with children.
• Safety conscious and capable of maintaining public relations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach tennis lessons for basic, intermediate, and advanced levels according to program guidelines.

• Fill out paperwork for each class (records, cards, checklists, attendance, certificates) and submit timely.
• Assist in rescues and provide emergency care as needed.
• Enforce tennis rules and keep the facility orderly.

Job description

Teach all aspects of tennis classes in accordance with program guidelines.

1. Plan and teach basic, intermediate, and advanced tennis lessons according to program guidelines for the National Junior Tennis League program.
2. Provide input on ways to improve and expand the program.
3. Fill out appropriate paperwork for each class (course records, cards, checklists, attendance records and certificates) and submit them in a timely manner.
4. Assist in rescues and give emergency care to victims as needed.
5. Enforce all tennis rules and regulations and maintain the facility in an orderly condition.
6. Attend required training sessions.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required:
Experience in teaching tennis lessons. Must be enthusiastic, motivating, punctual, dependable, reliable, reliable, safety conscious, responsible, competent and mature enough to lead a class effectively. Must enjoy working with children and display excellent interpersonal skills. Must demonstrate tact, diplomacy and good public relation skills at all times.
